It's a lovely quiet location (no.1 Otter Island) overlooking the lake and ducks, early morning sun rise over the heavy mist (it was -3Deg C on Saturday morning) gave a magic/spiritual atmosphere.

Fantastic! Never before have we been anywhere, either in the UK or abroard that has ticked all our requirements. It was in an idyllic location and the accommodation was spacious and very clean - we hope to go back!

If you want a peaceful country holiday this is an ideal location, even in November. The main roads are not too far away and other places of interest can be easily found.

Peaceful setting, really suitable for people new to fishing, with plenty of smaller fish in the margins to keep newcomers to the sport happy. New Bistro was a revelation and it was nice to be able to dine out, have a drink and walk back to the lodge - no driving!
